UK Government Reveals 70 Job Roles for Foreign Workers

The UK government, through UK Visas and Immigration, has officially released its Skilled Worker visa temporary shortage list, which includes 70 job roles across multiple industries where foreign nationals can apply for work in Britain. Workers in medium-skilled roles listed can switch visa routes, apply for entry clearance, or extend their existing Skilled Worker permission.

The list encompasses a wide range of job categories, including managers in logistics, laboratory technicians, IT operations technicians, authors, and various technical roles in engineering and design. The guidance specifies that after 31 December 2026, no new sponsorship can be issued for these roles unless the list is extended.

This initiative aims to address labor shortages in critical sectors within the UK economy.
