• Punch Newspapers • General News
Following a 32-hour Orthodox Easter truce, Ukraine and Russia renewed drone strikes, with Ukraine's air force reporting the downing of 87 out of 98 drones launched by Russia. The truce, which was agreed upon to last from 4:00 PM GMT on Saturday until the end of Sunday, was marred by accusations from both sides. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Ukraine had committed nearly 2,000 violations of the ceasefire, while the Ukrainian military reported 10,000 violations by Russian forces along the 1,200-kilometer front line. Despite the ceasefire, there were no missile or air strikes recorded during this period. The situation highlights the ongoing tensions and hostilities between the two nations, with both sides accusing each other of failing to adhere to the terms of the truce.
