Umahi Launches APC Convention Transport and Accommodation Committee

On March 10, 2026, Engr. David Umahi, the Minister of Works and the chairman of the APC National Convention Accommodation and Transport Committee, formally inaugurated the committee in Abuja.

This committee is tasked with managing critical logistics for the forthcoming APC national convention. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, will head the accommodation arm of the committee, while the transport component will be overseen by Umahi.

The committee's responsibilities include planning transportation logistics, managing accommodation arrangements, and coordinating hotel engagements and room allocations for party leaders and special guests expected from across the country. During the inauguration, Umahi emphasized the importance of seamless transport and accommodation for the success of major political events, stating that any logistical failure could disrupt the convention.

He expressed confidence in the committee's ability to execute its mandate professionally and efficiently.
