Umahi Advocates Consensus for APC Unity in Ebonyi

On April 29, 2026, David Umahi, the former governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, reiterated his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru during a political engagement in Ebonyi State. He urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to embrace dialogue and unity as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.

Umahi clarified that there would be no direct presidential stop for aspirants purchasing nomination forms, emphasizing that the president has not instructed anyone to contest. He highlighted the importance of internal democracy and peaceful engagement among party members, advocating for a consensus approach among aspirants.
