UN Chief Demands Protection of Civilians and Schools in Nigeria Amid Rising Attacks

The UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Moham Malick Fall, has urged for enhanced protection of civilians and schools in Nigeria, particularly in Niger State, after a series of attacks resulted in casualties and abductions. The recent incidents in Niger State, Kwara, and Ondo State have raised concerns about the safety of civilians, especially women and children, and the right to education.

The UN is calling for the immediate release of abductees and accountability for the perpetrators, in line with human rights standards.
