University of Abuja to Honor Professor Ali with Degree

The University of Abuja has announced that it will confer an honorary Doctor of Law (LLD) degree on Professor Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN, a distinguished legal luminary, during its upcoming 83rd combined convocation ceremony. This event is set to take place on Saturday, April 18.

The decision to honor Professor Ali was endorsed by the university's governing council and the senate, recognizing his substantial contributions to the legal profession and his broader service to society. The vice chancellor, Professor Hakeem B.

Fawehinmi, has formally invited Professor Ali to receive this prestigious award. The convocation ceremony will also feature the awarding of degrees, diplomas, and prizes to graduating students, alongside the honorary recognition for Professor Ali.

The university anticipates that the ceremony will attract dignitaries from across the country, reflecting the profound respect for Professor Ali's enduring impact within the legal field.
