UNIABUJA Targets Land Encroachment, Celebrates Graduates

The University of Abuja, under the leadership of Pro Chancellor Sen. Olarenwaju Tejuoso, has vowed to address land encroachment issues, stressing that unauthorized occupation of university property will no longer be tolerated.

During a recent ceremony, Chancellor Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu highlighted the importance of hard work and discipline in achieving academic success.

The event also featured a goodwill message from former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon, acknowledging the contributions of President Bola Tinubu in renaming the institution.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi expressed pride in the graduates, reaffirming the university's commitment to excellence.

In the 2022/2023 academic session, 48 students graduated with first-class honors, while a total of 4,418 earned second-class upper degrees. The upcoming 2023/2024 session will see 29 graduates attaining first-class honors and 1,724 students receiving master's degrees, demonstrating the university's dedication to high academic standards.
