UNILORIN's Ezekeil Adebisi Named Best Political Science Graduate

Ezekeil Adebisi, a fresh graduate from the University of Ilorin, was recognized as the Best Graduating Student in the Political Science department, graduating on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. He topped a cohort of over 180 students.

Adebisi attributed his success to a pivotal moment during his first year when he faced a frustrating evening stuck in a long bus queue after a demanding day. This experience motivated him to pursue a departmental scholarship to secure a place in the university hostel, leading to a significant shift in his study habits.

He began attending night classes and dedicated himself to his studies, resulting in strong first-year grades. He later discovered he had been awarded the departmental scholarship, which he maintained throughout his undergraduate years, ultimately graduating at the top of his department.

Adebisi expressed gratitude to his family, lecturers, mentors, and friends, emphasizing that his achievement was a collective effort. He plans to focus on political research, particularly in democratic governance and political institutions across Africa.
