United Nigeria Airlines Joins IATA Financial Clearing House

United Nigeria Airlines has officially joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Financial Clearing House, with the membership taking effect on February 1, 2026. This significant development allows the airline to participate in a global financial system that facilitates secure and efficient financial settlements for interline billing, including passenger and cargo transactions.

Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, emphasized that this milestone reinforces the airline's commitment to international best practices and operational transparency. The membership will also support the airline's broader strategy to establish interline codeshare partnerships and expand its international footprint.

Additionally, United Nigeria Airlines plans to introduce direct flights to New York, with the first A330-200 aircraft scheduled for delivery on July 26, 2026, and a second aircraft expected by the end of October 2026.
