Unity in diversity bedrock of progress – Atiku hails Hausa people

Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar praised the Hausa people for their role in promoting unity in diversity, calling it the bedrock of societal progress. In a post on his official Twitter handle to celebrate Hausa Day, Atiku highlighted the language, traditions, and enterprise of the Hausa people, which have made a significant impact not only in West Africa but beyond.

As a former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku emphasized the importance of safeguarding the linguistic treasure and honoring the resilience of the Hausa people. He also called on future generations to embrace unity in diversity for progress.

The celebration took place at the historic Emir of Daura Palace, where Atiku paid tribute to the influential culture, commerce, scholarship, governance, and art of the Hausa community across 25 countries. Atiku expressed hope that Hausa Day would renew the collective commitment to building a thriving Nigeria and African heritage.
