Nigerian University Expels Student Over TikTok Video, Allegations of Cultism Emerge

The University of Abraka has expelled a 200-level microbiology student, Ugoma, for recording and sharing a TikTok video of a dying colleague, violating ethical conduct. The student disciplinary committee found her guilty after a hearing in August 2025.

Additionally, the Student Union Government suspended its president, Chinedu Ozoagu, over alleged cultism involvement, while Christian Okek faced accusations of harboring cultists for monetary gain within the university environment.
