University of Jos and OPay Launch N1.2bn Scholarship Program to Support Academic Excellence

The University of Jos has partnered with OPay in a N1.2 billion ten-year scholarship program aimed at supporting students' academic excellence. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, will provide N60 million in scholarships annually to benefit students at the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of UNIJOS, Professor Ishaya, emphasized the importance of the scholarship in providing financial relief and encouraging academic achievement. OPay's Head of Partnerships, Ikponmwosa Odiase, highlighted the company's commitment to social responsibility and creating opportunities for Nigerian students to excel academically.
