UNN Partners with OPay for 10-Year Scholarship Program, Empowering Nigerian Students

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has partnered with OPay in a 1.2 billion Naira 10-year scholarship program to support indigent students across 20 tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two parties aims to provide scholarships to 20 beneficiaries per academic session for a decade.

The Vice Chancellor of UNN, Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting OPay's commitment to educational development in Nigeria. OPay's Head of Partnerships, Ikponmwosa Odiase, reaffirmed the company's belief in education as a tool for national development and empowering the youth.
