Unruly Passenger: Ibom Air Places Travel Restriction On Emmanson

Ibom Air has imposed a travel restriction on Ms. Comfort Emmanson following an incident on a flight where her behavior posed a serious threat to the safety of the crew and passengers.

The airline confirmed that on August 10, 2025, Ms. Emmanson refused to follow standard aviation safety procedures, leading to a confrontation with the crew.

She later assaulted a crew member and attempted to use a fire extinguisher as a weapon. Airport security intervened to prevent further escalation.

Ibom Air has reported the incident to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and has banned Ms. Emmanson from flying with the airline.

The airline emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards unruly behavior and commended the professionalism of its crew in handling the challenging situation. Ms.

Emmanson has been handed over to the Nigerian Police for investigation.
