Unusual Praise 2026 to Gather 80,000 Worshippers in Lagos

The 2026 edition of Unusual Praise, one of Africa's largest Catholic praise concerts, is set for December 11 at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos, with an expected attendance of over 80,000 worshippers. Prior to this, an event will occur on November 6 at the Basilica in Onitsha.

The theme for this year is ‘Declare His Glory Among The Nations’. Notable gospel ministers participating include Bidemi Olaoba, Moses Bliss, Sunmisola Agbebi, Peterson Okopi, Chinyere Udoma, BJ Sax, and Mr. & Mrs. Revelation.

The event is hosted by the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki, and aims to foster evangelisation, thanksgiving, and community engagement. Dr. Ike Chioke, Chairman of Unusual Praise 2026, emphasized the event's dual mission of evangelisation and empowerment, seeking increased support from funders.

Mrs. Augustina Igbokwe, Chairperson of Unusual Praise 2026 in Onitsha, described the event as a transformative journey rather than just a concert, highlighting its growing impact on the community.
