Adewale Elesho's Surgery Successful, Health Update Released

Veteran actor Prince Adewale Adeoye Elesho successfully completed surgery, with the announcement made on Saturday, August 29, by Prince Adejonwo Oluwafemi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP). This news came after weeks of public concern regarding Elesho's health, particularly speculation about a potential battle with skin cancer, which arose from observations made by fans about his appearance at a public event.

Oluwafemi acknowledged the widespread concern and expressed gratitude to those who reached out. Following the update, many well-wishers expressed relief and continued prayers for Elesho's recovery.

Prior to his surgery, Elesho attended the funeral of the late Taiwo Hassan Ogogo on August 24, 2026, where he praised Ogogo's character, referring to him as an "omoluabi," a term denoting honor and integrity.
