80 Kaduna Worshippers Escape Abduction, Return Home Amid Bandit Attacks

In Kaduna State, 80 worshippers managed to escape abduction during a bandit attack in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area. Initially, 177 worshippers were believed to have been abducted, but 80 later returned home after seeking refuge in nearby villages.

The remaining 86 worshippers are reportedly still held captive by the bandits. The worshippers faced trauma, and there are appeals for government and military intervention to secure the safe return of the captives.

The security forces have been conducting operations to target bandit hideouts in the area. The region has experienced heightened tensions with a recent attack in Maikori community resulting in casualties.

The Kaduna State Police are expected to release a comprehensive report on the situation.
