INEC Reports 83% Results Upload in Ekiti Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that as of 6:41 PM on Saturday, it had uploaded 83.7% of the results from the Ekiti State governorship election, with 2,048 results uploaded from a total of 2,445 polling units. This marks a significant increase from the earlier upload of 35.5% at 6:12 PM.

Incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is contesting for a second term, with his first term set to expire in October. He faces competition from 13 other candidates, including Oluwol Oluyede of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Olawadar Bejid of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), among others.

The election is critical for the political landscape in Ekiti State as results continue to be transmitted to the INEC results viewing portal.
