Senator Thomas Pledges Fairness to Delta South Constituents

On Tuesday, Joel Onowakpo Thomas, the Senator for Delta South, visited Warri to engage with constituents and pledge fairness across the four ethnic nations in the district: Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri, and Urhobo. During the meeting, which included members of the Warri Urhobo APC leadership council led by Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, Thomas highlighted his legislative accomplishments over two years and ten months, including the sponsorship of eight bills that have received presidential assent, such as the establishment of the Nigeria Maritime University in Okerenkoko.

He committed to empowering 2,000 constituents through targeted programs, including the distribution of motorcycles, deep freezers, sewing machines, and agricultural equipment. The meeting was attended by prominent APC leaders and former political office holders, who commended Thomas for his commitment to equity and inclusivity in representation.
