Olayiwola Shittu: Celebrating the Urologist as a Mediator at 70,” Olaopa recognized Shittu's expertise in prostate cancer, reconstructive urology, and surgical outcomes in resource-constrained settings. He emphasized the critical role of urologists in Nigeria, particularly in managing urinary disorders and related conditions among the elderly.

Olaopa noted that Shittu has helped many regain their health and dignity, addressing not only medical issues but also the social and psychological burdens associated with urinary disorders. He described Shittu as a mediator who fosters intimacy and emotional connection among elderly couples, combating the stigma surrounding conditions like erectile dysfunction.
