U.S. Court Accepts New Evidence in Tinubu Drug Case

The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has accepted fresh filings from the political advisory firm Von Batten-Montague-York in the ongoing legal case concerning U.S. government records linked to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The filings, which include a Motion for Leave to File Brief Amicus Curiae and Supplemental Notice of Evidentiary Exhibits, have been formally entered into the court record for the case titled Greenspan v.

Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys et al., case number 1:23-cv-01816-BAH.

The firm stated that the new documents aim to highlight contradictions between public statements made by Nigerian officials and Tinubu's privacy claims regarding the records. Von Batten-Montague-York expressed satisfaction with the court's acceptance of their submissions, emphasizing the importance of the evidence concerning public statements made by Tinubu's officials.

The Presidency has maintained that this matter is a civil dispute and that no U.S. court has convicted Tinubu of any criminal wrongdoing.
