Embassy Abuja and Consulate General Lagos Location – Nigeria, countrywide The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as work-free days to commemorate Eid-el-Fitr. Consequently, the U.S.

Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on these dates.

No routine consular services will be available. If you already have a regular visa or American Citizen Services (ACS) appointment for March 19 or 20, you will be contacted for rescheduling.
