US Military Aircraft Deliver Ammunition to Nigeria

On Thursday and Friday, three US military aircraft landed in Borno State, Nigeria, delivering ammunition and soldiers as part of ongoing security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States. A senior defense official disclosed that this delivery is routine logistics to support Nigeria's counter-insurgency operations.

The aircraft reportedly touched down in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, on Thursday night and Friday morning. Additionally, claims emerged regarding a C-30J transport aircraft landing at Kaduna International Airport, suggesting it may serve as a training hub for US personnel collaborating with the Nigerian military.

The report indicates that around 200 US personnel have already been deployed to Nigeria, marking the beginning of a broader mission involving American intelligence analysts and trainers. The deployment aims to enhance Nigeria's operational capacity against terrorism while maintaining the country's sovereignty.

Security experts have noted the potential establishment of a US drone base in Nigeria, particularly in the Sambisa Forest area, to deter terrorist activities.
