US to Deport 97 Nigerians Over Alleged Immigration Offenses

The US Department of Homeland Security is set to deport 97 Nigerians for alleged immigration offenses, including wire fraud, mail fraud, and identity theft. These individuals were arrested as part of a coordinated crackdown across several US states by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Department described them as the "worst of the worst" criminals in the immigration system. The list of deportees includes individuals like Oluwaseyanu Afolabi, Obinwanne Okeke, and Benjamin Ifebajo.

The enforcement operation aims to target immigrants convicted of serious crimes, posing significant financial and security risks. The deportations are in line with US immigration laws and the administration's promise to carry out mass deportations.
