Uzodimma Promises Fair Primaries for APC Aspirants in Imo

During a stakeholders' meeting held at the party secretariat in Owerri, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State assured All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants of a fair and transparent primary selection process ahead of the upcoming general elections. He emphasized the need for the party to uphold the highest standards of internal democracy and fair competition, urging aspirants to remain loyal and disciplined.

Uzodimma noted the large number of aspirants as a reflection of the growing popular acceptance of the APC in the state, attributing this to people-oriented policies and programs. He commended party members, including national assembly lawmakers and state legislators, for their continued support.

Additionally, he praised the state chairman, Austin Onyedebelu, and the leadership of the state executive committee for their roles in the party's influence. The meeting highlighted the importance of transparent primaries to strengthen internal cohesion and improve electoral chances, addressing past criticisms regarding candidate selection processes.
