Uzodimma Warns Imo APC Aspirants Against Risking Fees

On May 15, 2026, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma addressed All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants at a meeting held at the state banquet hall in Owerri. He cautioned them against risking their children's school fees in pursuit of party tickets for various positions, including the Senate and House of Representatives.

Uzodimma stressed the need for loyalty, discipline, and sacrifice among party members, warning that politics should not be treated as a lottery. He encouraged aspirants to remain committed to the party during the primaries and to respect the existing zoning and equity principles.

The governor acknowledged the competitive nature of political contests and urged aspirants to weigh the risks before entering the race. He also mentioned the adoption of an A4 voting system to ensure transparency and avoid accusations of favoritism.

Austin Onyedebelu, the state chairman of APC, reaffirmed the party's commitment to unity and reconciliation ahead of future elections.
