Uzodimma Advocates Unity in APC After Primaries

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the party's primaries. During a meeting held on Monday at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre in Owerri, Uzodimma urged party members to accept the outcomes of the primaries in good faith and work towards the party's success in the 2027 general elections.

He reiterated the importance of strengthening the position of Imo State in national politics to ensure overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming elections. Uzodimma praised Tinubu for his vision to develop and prosper Imo State, arguing that significant infrastructural and social renewal in the state is only possible with the President's support.

APC State Chairman Chief Austin Onyedebelu commended the aspirants for their sportsmanship and loyalty, encouraging those who were unsuccessful to remain patient and respect the party's decisions. Several aspirants participated in the primaries, including those contesting for Senate and House of Representatives tickets.
