NGO Pays N500,000 Hospital Bill for Patient in Need

The Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, led by Chief Nichola Echezona Nsoedo, has offset a hospital bill of N500,000 for Mr. Chinenyenwa Ugwuok, a patient from Ibagwa, Nsukka, Enugu State.

Mr. Ugwuok, who is married and hails from Ohaozala, Ebonyi State, incurred this bill after undergoing a hysterectomy at St.

Benedict Hospital Maternity in Nnewi, Anambra State. The financial assistance was crucial as the family had exhausted all efforts to raise the funds needed for the medical expenses.

Upon being contacted by Chief Nsoedo, he promptly visited the hospital and cleared the accumulated bill. The emotional response from Mr.

Ugwuok's mother, who was overwhelmed with tears of joy upon learning that the bill had been paid, highlights the impact of this charitable act. Chief Nsoedo emphasized that the main purpose of celebrating St.

Valentine’s Day is to bring smiles to people's faces, especially in the current economic reality in Nigeria.
