Veteran Yoruba Actor Chief Kanran's Funeral in Lagos Today

Renowned Yoruba actor, Chief Kanran, is set to be laid to rest in Lagos today following his passing on August 15, 2025, at the age of 70. The funeral activities will commence with an artistic night on Thursday, September 11, and the burial service will take place on Friday, September 12, at Beckley Estate.

Chief Kanran, a household name in the Yoruba film industry, was known for his distinctive style and commanding stage presence. Movie executive producer Seun Oloketuyi confirmed his death, attributing it to health issues.

The late actor's career spanned both stage plays and movies, earning him respect as a recognizable figure in Nollywood.
