Kannywood Actress Wasila Isma’il Dies at 46

Wasila Isma’il, a veteran actress in the Kannywood film industry, passed away at the age of 46 due to a prolonged illness. Her ex-husband, Al Amin Chiroma, confirmed her death through a social media post, expressing condolences with the phrase "Innalillahi wainna ilaihirrajiun." Wasila Isma’il was a significant figure in the Hausa film industry, recognized for her performances in various films since she began her acting career in 1998 with the film "Jinin Masoya." She gained fame in 1999 and became a household name following the success of her movies.

In earlier interviews, she mentioned a film titled "Jamila," where she requested a name change to avoid tarnishing her reputation. The director agreed to the change.
