Chigozie Chukwuleta Receives NUJ Long Service Award

Chigozie Patience Chukwuleta, deputy station manager of UNIZIK 94.1 FM at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was honored with the 2026 NUJ Anambra Long Term Professional Service Award for her extensive contributions to journalism spanning over three decades. The award ceremony took place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, during the 35th anniversary celebration of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra state council.

The award was signed by Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, the Chairman of NUJ Anambra state council, and presented by Dr Churchill Okonkwo, the chairman of the occasion. Chukwuleta, who holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has worked in various capacities in journalism, including with Concord Newspapers and the Anambra State Newspapers and Printing Corporation.

She has been with UNIZIK 94.1 FM since 2008 and has served in multiple leadership roles within the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN). Reflecting on her award, she expressed gratitude to her supporters and attributed her success to divine intervention.
