VFD Group Plc (NGX: VFDGROUP) has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited of the appointment of Mrs. Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as Deputy Managing Director (Executive Director), with effect from October 5, 2026. The appointment remains conditional on approval by shareholders at a General Meeting and sign-off from relevant regulators.
According to the filing, Mrs. Emezie-Ezigbo has over twenty years of experience spanning corporate finance, transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, and strategic financial management, with exposure across Nigeria, Canada, and broader African markets.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with First Class Honours from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Finance from Cass Business School in London, and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School. Her professional designations include Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), ACCA UK, CPA Ontario, and Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA).
Her prior roles include positions at Stanbic IBTC Group, IBM Canada, Canadian Tire Corporation, and KPMG Nigeria and Canada. Most recently, she served as Partner and Head of Transaction Services, West Africa at KPMG Nigeria. The Board stated it is satisfied she possesses the competence, experience, and integrity required for the role.
