Victor Boniface Says He Would Love To Play In Nigeria To Escape ‘Boring’ Europe

Nigerian footballer Victor Boniface, 24, expressed his desire to play in Nigeria to escape what he called the 'boring' European football scene during an episode of the Culture League Podcast. In a conversation with fellow Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi and TV presenter VJ Adams, Boniface mentioned his dream of playing for Mountain Fire Miracles Football Club in Nigeria, citing a preference for being close to home.

Despite this longing, Boniface remains committed to Bayer Leverkusen until 2023, dispelling transfer rumors to other European clubs. The Bundesliga champion confirmed his dedication to Leverkusen in an interview with German outlet Sport Bild.

Leverkusen is set to kick off their league campaign against Hoffenheim on August 23.
