Victorious Falcons land in Abuja, set for trophy parade, dinner with Tinubu

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have landed in Abuja after their victory in the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Led by coach Justin Madugu, the team defeated host nation Morocco in a thrilling final to secure their 10th WAFCON title.

The team is set for a trophy parade and dinner with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Falcons arrived on Monday afternoon and were warmly received by Governors Hope Uzodinma, Uba Sani, and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, as well as other top government officials.

The team had a fantastic outing in Morocco, starting their campaign with a victory over Tunisia, followed by a goalless draw with Botswana and a win against Algeria in the group stage. They went on to thrash Zambia in the quarterfinals, defeat defending champions South Africa in the semi-finals, and complete an incredible comeback in the host nation's final.
