Chris Ngige Attends APC Meeting After Bail in 2 Billion Contract Fraud Case

Former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, attended an APC caucus meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja following his bail approval by Justice Maryam Hassan in a 2 billion contract fraud case. Ngige faces allegations of contract fraud and abuse of office during his tenure.

The court granted him bail under specific conditions, including producing sureties and submitting travel documents. The trial has been adjourned until January 2026.

Ngige served as a minister from 2015 to 2023 and pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him by the EFCC.
