Abiodun Supports Daniel's Senate Bid for Ogun East

In a meeting held at his private residence in Iperu Remo on Tuesday night, Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, disclosed his instrumental role in Otunba Gbenga Daniel's political career, which includes his election as governor in 2003 on the platform of the Progressive Congress. Abiodun emphasized his commitment to supporting Daniel's bid for the Ogun East Senate seat in 2027, promising to provide quality representation for the district.

He acknowledged the challenges Daniel faced, including public media attacks and the loss of the governorship ticket in 2003 while running under the Peoples Democratic Party. Abiodun also mentioned his past collaborations with Daniel and other political figures, including former Deputy Governor Segun Adesegun and incumbent Senator Lekan Mustapha, to ensure Daniel's emergence as the party's candidate for the Senate.

He assured the people of Ogun East that he would not only support Daniel but also ensure that the representation would be of the highest quality.
