Wike Critiques Obi's Leadership and Political Consistency

During a monthly media briefing in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, criticized former presidential candidate Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Wike questioned Obi's leadership record, alleging that he failed to strengthen political parties, particularly the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike claimed that Obi's political movements across multiple platforms indicate opportunism rather than principled leadership. He noted that Obi could not build APGA into a strong party and accused him of abandoning the PDP.

Wike further alleged that Obi's recent political maneuvers reinforce a pattern of inconsistency, referencing a recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the ADC leadership crisis. Wike concluded by stating that Obi's actions reflect a search for political stability, likening it to looking for food that is ready, implying a lack of commitment to any party.
