Video of Taribo West’s Prayers for Tinubu Resurfaces Amid Rant Over Peter Rufai’s Burial

A video resurfaced online showing former Super Eagles star Taribo West visiting Bola Tinubu and expressing disappointment over the treatment of late Peter Rufai's burial. Rufai, a former goalkeeper, passed away on July 3 and was buried on August 22.

Taribo criticized the Nigeria Football Federation and Lagos State government for not supporting Rufai's funeral despite his immense contributions to Nigerian football. He highlighted the financial struggles faced by Rufai's family and called for assistance.

Taribo's comments sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some pointing out his close relationship with Tinubu. This comes after Taribo was seen leading a prayer session for Tinubu, alongside other football legends, ahead of the 2023 General Elections.

The former Inter Milan player also visited the Rivers State Government House to seek help in recovering property he claimed was taken by hoodlums.
