Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of Adedip Adeyinkan in Lagos

On April 11, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM, Adedip Adeyinkan, popularly known as Agali, was fatally shot near the National Stadium Bridge in Iponri, Lagos. Following the incident, he was rushed to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba, where he was confirmed dead upon arrival.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the occurrence of the shooting and is currently investigating to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. This investigation comes in the wake of viral social media reports and footage that surfaced shortly after the shooting.

The video shows a damaged white vehicle at the scene, with people gathered around. The incident is reportedly linked to cult-related activities in the area, with suggestions that Adeyinkan was associated with a cult group known as Buccaneers, which has been involved in violence and turf wars in Lagos.
