Man Shot Dead in Lagos Over Business Dispute

On Tuesday, a male adult identified as Golden was shot dead in the Igando area of Lagos State over a business dispute. The incident took place in the Fatoki area, where two assailants on a motorcycle approached Golden and shot him in the head.

Following the shooting, police were deployed to the scene, where they found Golden lifeless in a pool of blood. He was subsequently taken to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead and later moved to a morgue.

The Lagos State Police Command, represented by spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, has not disclosed the cause of the incident, but investigations are ongoing. Confra Naija, an anti-cultism advocacy platform, reported that while two cult groups were mentioned in relation to the incident, it was confirmed that the attack was not cult-related but stemmed from a business dispute involving a Yahoo money platform.

This incident follows another recent shooting of a shawarma vendor in the Sangotedo area of Lagos State.
