Channels TV Challenges Wike on Land Allocation Claims

Channels TV has publicly rebutted claims made by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), regarding the station's financial dealings related to land allocations in Abuja. During a broadcast, Kayod Okikiolu, a Channels TV anchor, dismissed Wike's assertion that the station profited from land allocations, emphasizing that all fees related to land allocations since 2007 have been duly paid.

Okikiolu further challenged Wike to disclose the names of journalists who allegedly received land allocations in the FCT, urging transparency in the matter. The interview, which lasted two hours, was conducted outside the usual broadcast van and utilized standard equipment.

Channels TV maintains that it operates within the legal framework and has not engaged in any illicit financial activities.
