Gbajabiamila Urges Kogi Rep to Stay with ADC Amid Defections

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, advised Kogi State lawmaker Leke Abejide to remain with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and resist any temptation to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This advice was given during a reception honoring Abejide's 20th wedding anniversary and his wife's 50th birthday.

Gbajabiamila highlighted Abejide's loyalty and resilience as a politician who has built his party through personal effort and resources. He urged Abejide to focus on securing re-election on the ADC platform and to confront opposition within the party to strengthen its base.

Gbajabiamila reassured Abejide that despite pressures, including potential defections from former governors, he should remain committed to the ADC, which he believes will lead to success in the upcoming elections. The event was also attended by other party members, including Bala Gomb, who is involved in consolidating the party's influence.
