Tinubu Arrives in Rwanda for Africa CEO Forum 2026

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, on Wednesday to participate in the Africa CEO Forum 2026. He was received at the Kigali International Airport by Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, and Defence Minister Juven Marizamunda, among others.

The forum, scheduled for May 14-15, 2026, is Africa's largest annual private sector gathering, with the theme "Scale to Fail: Why Africa Embraces Shared Ownership." It is expected to attract 2,000 CEOs, investors, and policymakers, including six African heads of state. Special Adviser to the President on Strategic Communication, Bayo Onanuga, stated that Tinubu would speak on Nigeria's reforms and hold high-level bilateral meetings with top global and African business leaders.

This visit is part of a three-nation tour, which includes attendance at the Africa-France Summit in France on May 11-12 and a stop in Nairobi, Kenya. Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria ahead of the APC presidential primaries scheduled for May 23.
