Tinubu Embarks on Two-Week Trip to France, Kenya, Rwanda

President Bola Tinubu will commence a two-week trip today, departing from Abuja to visit France, Kenya, and Rwanda. His first stop will be France, where he will attend the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11-12, 2026.

This summit, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will focus on energy transition, green industrialization, digital transformation, and restructuring global financial architecture. The theme of the summit is "Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnership for Innovative Growth," providing a platform for African leaders and their French counterparts to discuss critical issues affecting the continent, including economic transformation and climate resilience.

Following the summit, Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the annual Africa CEO Forum on May 14-15, which will gather around 2,000 leaders from the private sector, investors, and policymakers to discuss strategies for economic transformation and cross-border investment. Tinubu will deliver a statement highlighting his administration's ongoing reforms to position Nigeria as a prime destination for investment growth.
