Tinubu Receives APC Flag as 2027 Presidential Candidate

On Sunday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu formally received the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag and certificate of return as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 elections during a ceremony held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja. The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, presented the certificate to Tinubu amid applause from party leaders and supporters.

The certificate represents the mandate of APC members across the country, reflecting broad internal support within the party. Tinubu's nomination follows his victory in the APC presidential primaries, where he secured 10.99 million votes, defeating his sole challenger, Stanlei Osifo, who received 16,504 votes.

The results were drawn from 8,809 wards nationwide, showcasing a significant margin of victory. The event was attended by Tinubu's wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, and members of the national executive committee, symbolizing unity and a common goal for the party as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
