Panic as Bus Carrying Bayelsa United Players Involved in Accident on Abuja Road

A bus carrying Bayelsa United players and officials was involved in an accident on the Abuja road while en route to a Nigerian Premier Football League match in Kano against Barau FC. The incident occurred when a tire of the bus came off, causing a brief moment of chaos before the driver managed to regain control and prevent a fatal accident.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported, and the team members are safe. The club is yet to announce alternative travel arrangements.

This incident has brought back memories of a fatal road accident involving a Kano state team bus in June 2025, where at least 22 people lost their lives. The Nigeria Sport Commission chairman described the incident as a dark moment for the country's sports community.
