Vigilantes Rescue 9 Kidnapped Victims in Edo State

In Edo State, vigilantes successfully rescued 9 kidnapped victims, including a pastor and a couple, who were abducted at gunpoint near Jattu Grammar School. The victims were taken to a church behind Power Line, where the abductors demanded ransom.

Deputy Commandant Richard Balogun confirmed the operation, stating that the vigilantes mobilized a bush combing operation to locate the victims. During a gun battle with the kidnappers, the abductors fled, leaving the victims unharmed.

Two local-made rifles were recovered, and suspects managed to escape but were later apprehended. The rescued victims were reunited with their families.
