Nollywood Icon Chief Lere Paimo Alive Despite Death Rumors

Chief Lere Paimo, a revered Nollywood actor and Yoruba cultural icon, was rumored to have passed away at 86, but the reports were debunked. The false news originated from an Instagram post by Seun Oloketuyi, leading to widespread mourning online.

However, the Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners association quickly clarified that Chief Lere Paimo, also known as Baba Eda Onil Ola, is alive and well. The association's statement, signed by Prince Adejonwo Oluwafemi Femson, reassured fans of the actor's good health and dispelled the rumors.

Chief Paimo's family is yet to issue a public statement regarding the false reports.
