Veteran Nollywood Actor Lere Paimo, Known as Eda Onileola, Passes Away at 86

Lere Paimo, a renowned Nollywood actor and cultural icon, has died at 86 after surviving two strokes. Born in Oyo State in 1939, Paimo had a prolific career spanning six decades in Yoruba theater and film.

He starred in numerous acclaimed Yoruba films and received national honors, including an award from former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Seun Oloketuyi, chairman of the Best Nollywood Award, confirmed Paimo's death on social media.
