Shettima Attends AbdulRazaq's Turbaning in Ilorin

Vice President Shettima led a delegation to Ilorin on an important occasion where Governor AbdulRazaq was officially conferred the title of Sardauna, or Defence Minister of Ilorin Emirate, by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari. This event, held at the newly renovated Emir’s Palace, marks AbdulRazaq as the first individual to receive this title in the emirate’s history, recognizing his governance and community development efforts since the Emir's announcement in August 2024.

Alongside the traditional rites, Shettima inaugurated two significant infrastructure projects: the Kwara Garment Factory, one of West Africa's largest apparel manufacturing plants, expected to create over 4,000 jobs, and the KWIRS Revenue House, a multi-storey complex aimed at enhancing tax administration in Kwara State. The event attracted a distinguished guest list, including state governors, federal ministers, senators, ambassadors, and industry leaders, marking a significant milestone in Kwara State’s cultural and socioeconomic landscape.
